She will not go in any litterbox that is not exclusivly hers. How can we correct this problem? Keep in mind that each cat formerly used their own litterbox just a 2 months ago. The younger cat has taken over both boxes completly. The older will not use either box now.

They are adults, 5 and 9 years old. We feed them 1/3 of a cup twice a day, once in the morning, and once at night. We give them snacks throughout the day as well. I once had an elderly cat experience renal failure– but it didn’t all happen so fast.
I’m taking him in to see the vet tomorrow (this is the first day I have off). They’ve always been good at diagonising my cats’ ailments.
Tigger’s symptoms are the same as another cat I had– but came much on more quickly. Perhaps he doesn’t have renal failure. I trust the vet will be able to figure out what’s wrong.
