My cat has always been an outdoor one and I always kept his food dish and water outside, around my front door. I recently moved to a new part of town and I continued keeping his food outside, but now its attracted several cats. Sometimes I walk outside to find over 8 cats running around my yard. I even find cat paw marks all over my windshield. What can I do to keep these strays away, and off my car?
I have two German Shepards, but I keep them in the backyard.

I have two female cats; they are both spayed. Every once in awhile it seems like every cat in the neighborhood comes to visit them. One of our cats, Kitty, also gets in the habit of ****** on things inside the house during this time. She doesn’t do anything else that makes it seem like she’s in heat. Even though they’re spayed, might one of them be attracting other cats? Is Kitty marking her territory? Any suggestions? I can deal with the cat visits but not the ******.

Someone asked:
If I bring an new kitten home to keep my 1 year old cat company, what is the best age for the new kitten to be?
Since my 1 year old indoor only cat is very territorial, I am afriad he will not be able to get along with an new kitten well, but the whole point of getting an kitten is to keep him company(like an friend). He hisses and growls through the window whenever he sees another cat.
My cat is an male tabby(indoor), but he’s neutured he seems to be very pesky with other cats that go in our backyard or front(he starts growling and hissing at them though the window). He seems very lonely and I feel bad so I want to get another cat for an friend.
Female or male is better(has to be sprayed or nuetured, its an MUST)?
Which age(months) is the best?
Breed? And which breed is best for him?
Also, is this an good idea?

I don’t mean any offense by this question–just wondering….
Different races are all the same species–human. We have different physical characteristics but can still have children together.
Different breeds of animals have different physical and personality traits, but can still reproduce.
For example, White people and Asian people can have kids together, and Siamese cats and British Shorthair cats can have kittens.
Is this the same concept?

One of the neighborhood cats had a kitten. We have been feeding it and playing with it and it has gotten very used to us. It is about 7 months old. We are thinking of moving and taking the cat but are afraid it will run away or not be happy. It would have to stay an outside cat where we move. Our neighbor is also moving and said they would take it (as well as about 4 other neighborhood cats) and make it an indoor cat. The mother would go too. What is better for the cat?

I have a 2 year old bengal cat who is driving my family nuts with his constant “talking.” He just walks around the house meowing every 5 seconds! It was amusing for a while, now its getting really annoying. He does this in the middle of the night sometimes & wakes us up! I know bengals have a reputation for being “vocal” but this is getting rediculous!
Its not like he needs any attention, he gets plenty of that, & often he is purring while he’s “talking” so he’s not upset or anything. I don’t get it, but any advice would be great!
