How does a tomcat know when a feline is in heat?
fistycuffs asked:
I recently move to the country from NY, all of this is new to me.
My neighbor’s cat is in heat for the third time this year and my yard is overrun with tomcats politely waiting their turn.
The feline spends most of her time between my yard and her owner’s and there are no toms around when she not in heat.
How do they know? I counted up to 5 males so far. She’s seems to be very popular is this normal?

Bengal, Savvanah or Toyger? Which should i get? They are all so beautiful?
Sassi asked:
I love them all, and I love cats ![]()
I’ve had a cat since the day i was born, who recently died
aged 19. (im 16, and my mum got her 2 and a half years before i was born).
One day i’d love to get another cat,but cant at the moment as i have a dog, who although loved my old kitty, wont take nicely to a new one.
So im just thiking about it for now, and wont get one for atleat 5 years (until i”ve finished college and stuff).
I was thinking a Savvannah, because they are so energetic and fun!!
Your opinions?
All my pets ever - which is ALOT., have been from shelters or strays, and I want an exotic looking cat.
I am fascinated by big cats.
And i would be getting either an F3 or F4 cat.
I’ve also had alot of experience with loads of different types of animals, and know i could cope.
I wont be out all day, and love spending time with my cats.

Just wrote a guestion, but meant to say my dog has canine instead of feline pinkeye. Sorry?
Donna C asked:
I really need to know if I can apply most human meds over the counter to give her some relief. Vets charge so much and would like to be able to treat her just from the pharmacy.

How do I keep neighborhood cats from pooping on my lawn?
gravylegmistake asked:
I live in a fairly typical suburban area with many cat owners. For some reason they crap on my front lawn (the cats not the cat owners!). I thought only dogs did this, as cats like to bury their turds in soft dirt or ground cover. And yeah, they are definitely cat turds. I have a dog and know the difference.

I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP?
Anneke asked:
Okay, so I’m looking for an exotic cat. It’s called a SERVAL cat. Similar to a Savannah Cat and somewhat like a Bengal Cat. But I’m really looking for a Serval one. I’ve litterally looked at EVERY site possible. Now I’m looking directly for people whom are selling them. It would be much appreciated if I hear back from you. Leave a photo or detailed description AND a price. I know they’re expensive. I’m not really picky. I’m not breeding cats, so a ‘retired’ one is what I’m aiming for. One that I can love.
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE.
Retired, as in an old cat.
And; they’re are domestic. Look it up, it’s legal in almost EVERY state. They are house cats. But there’s probably some that aren’t.
No, YOU need to get some smarts. I looked at every possible site that SELLS the cats. Not the information about them. NOT WILD. You can say that all you want if that makes you feel better. I personally know people whom own them as house cats. They have other animals and little kids living with the cat. Nothing wrong with it. And; it’s not the immediate I want it attitude. The cat is not for myself as a pet. Yes, living in my home, but the cat is for my dying father. He really wants the cat. And I’ll do whatever it takes to get one. Therefore, you should keep your comments to yourself, unless you know the whole story.
