Julie6962 asked:
Mine are name Waylon and Willie. They are brothers and we were thinking about a famous male duo that we liked. They’re named after Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson and we were thinking of the song “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys”.

I don’t really recall. I had a cat named Panama, and wherever that came from, is beyond me. Mind you, I was a kid, and probably didn’t name any of the cats.
That is, I don’t think I named them.

I don’t have cats, but I did when I was little.
Her name was ticky because when you sat there and said kitty kitty kitty kitty over and over again it started to sound like ticky ticky ticky ticky.

My cats name is ******* (we pronounce it Boo-Cake though). She’s awsome. Google it and then you’d know why we named her that. Her markings are very…spotchy. I like what you named your cats after. I had two cats when I was little named “crash” and “burn”

I have a blonde cat named Susie cause she looks like my sister. One named Achmed because when she coughs thats what it sounds like she is saying. Skippy, my baby, because as a kitten she looked like she was skipping. And Sasha, just because the name is pretty.

My cats are Izzy, short for Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the great 19th century British engineer, as he’s the intelligent one of all our cats. (Maine Coon)
Gus, short for Augustus, because he just looks so commanding and strong like a Roman Emperor. (Maine Coon)
Layna, because she’s a little sprite, so we named her after a Greek word meaning truth and light. (Maine Coon)
and Midi, our rescue DSH, who is black as midnight, hence Midi for short.

PeanutButterNuts - Mainly because he’s nuts and I like weird cat names. My other cat was JuJuBean and my dog is Jackie Doodle Dandy Daniels…Strange right?

Leroy- boyfriend named him this because the cat had a swagger to his walk
Spot-has a spot on his back
Missy- short for mischief
Cocoa- is black like chocolate
Velvet-soft and black
Silver-silver tabby

We jsut got a coal black female kitten. Her name is Julie because she is pretty and delicate. She is quite feminine and acts like a lady…most of the time. But she has a little bit of troublemaker in her too! She is a very sweet little girl.

I had an incredible cat Renfield. He was a magnificant orange tiger.
The name came from Bram Stokers Dracula. I really dug the book and of course the film.
So I named my black and white cat Willamena once again form Bram.
Mona - Irish meaning noble which was quite suitable for her
Buster- he came with the name but it fit him.He came to me all busted up healing from a nasty femoral fracture.
My latest edition is Fergus which is Irish and means superior choice …Fer strength Gus man who is an orange tiger.

Gypsy - cause when I was given her for christmas, she had spent the nights leading up to xmas day in about three different peoples houses, keeping her a secret. So she was a wanderer. I just loved that name when it was suggested to me.
Whisky - we tried to give him a name to match gypsy, something mythical, but it just didn’t suit him. He was sitting on the coffee table the night we got him next to a bottle of the alchohol and he matched so perfectly. The name stuck.

My cat is a bengal and the fur on her forehead looks like an “M”. So I named her Mittens.

i have three cats….
the best name is swiffer….he’s a ragdoll, so he’s really fluffy…he looks like you could use him to clean your floor…..
the next one is comet….i already had one cat named after a cleaning product…so i figured i would follow suit….
last, is boo. real unoriginal. my husband named her.
Comment by cometswifferboo — December 6, 2009 @ 7:56 pm
Buddy was easy. My husband calls all male animals “buddy.”
Blue is short for Blueball, the legacy of a line of cats with a name ending in “ball.” My first cat (named when I was 5) was white, and hence her name was “Snowball.”
The second cat was black. Because we lacked even a smidge of creativity, we called her “Blackball.”
The third cat was a gray tabby. It was getting absurd, but we named her “Grayball.”
Current cat is a silvery blue shorthair, possibly some Russian Blue in her. Hence, “Blueball.” But Blue for short to protect those with delicate sensibilities who might be offended by her real name.

1. Kitschie-Kitschie…sounds like ‘kitty-kitty” with an ethnic twist.
2. Senor Blanco….his feral mom was Hispanic and he is pure white.
3. Psycho….a Russian blue with a serious mental disorder.
4. and 5. Sid and Nancy…once again that feral, hispanic mother actually dropped them off on my porch late one night when they were about 3-4 weeks old. It was sadlly apparent that they were going through drug withdrawal (that crazy mom of theirs didn’t/or couldn’t take care of them). So, I nursed them off drugs, and back to health.
BWT, If I could have caught that feral neighborhood tramp, I would have had her fixed!!! I did the next best thing. And for all you youngsters….look up Sid Vicious and his girlfriend
Nancy.
I used to have two Min Pins named Fox and Skully.
