I have a male (neutered), 5+ year old Bengal cat. He just started at the end of 2007 ****** everywhere! On coats, in boxes, on papers or files from file cabinets, on marble floors, even right next to his kitty litter box! I have an older cat and a younger cat also in the house-both neutered males whose get along fine with the Bengal. The kitty litter boxes are cleaned at least once every 2 days, have never been moved or changed (no new boxes), and there are at least 1.5 for each cat. In the time I’ve owned him (almost all of his life), he’s had UTI at least 3 times- but the vet says now he doesn’t have it. He has gone right in front of my relatives, but never in front of me or in my room. I’ve tried the spray bottle method, but it doesn’t work. Is there any way to stop my cat? (I’ve also tried scaring him away from the places he’s already peed in (he’s scared of everything) but it doesn’t work.)
Yes, he has been declawed since I got him neutered, which was the moment he was old enough to have it done. All three of my cats have been declawed and neutered and can roam around the house as they please. He has never shown interest in the outdoors, and he runs when I open the front door. Almost anything will scare him. He defiantly is a one person cat, but every relative that comes to my house is a relative he has known since I first got him. He is a cat that would rather run than go check things out; unless I’m there. I know he’s allergic to sea food, so he’s on a strict diet that hasn’t been changed. I’m pretty sure he’s not jealous; out of the three he probably gets the most attention. All my cats find water fascinating- until they have to touch it. He hates water the most and yowls like he’s dying during a bath. Would bathing him after I know he’s gone where he’s not supposed to stop his ******?
